Abilene Signal Question

I discovered on my Bank 1, a frequency I didn't even recall having. I guess I put it on there way back when I got the scanner, but don't recall what it was supposed to be for.

It is 154.0850. It's a repeater, but I only hear one person talk, usually a base station. It reminds me of the State School radio, yet no one ever replies. I've heard other units sometimes using the A=Alpha B=Bravo type phonetics.

Does anyone know what I'm getting?

Merkel Fire?

On the database homepage for Texas, down at the bottom, I typed 154.0850MHz in "Search Texas Identified Frequencies."

This is what I got:
Texas: 154.0850MHz.

Taylor County shows Merkel Fire Dispatch. Could that be correct or did it change?

edit: What about all the TDCJ licenses- could it be one of those?

I believe it is used by the Taylor Co. Jail

10-4, tj20. It just occurred to me I haven't heard a peep out of that channel in several days now. Hmm.

I have also been hearing this for the passed couple of weeks. Every evening around 22:00 I hear the base doing tests of man-down buttons. I also assume it is the jail.
