Hello,

I'm trying to setup ACARSD 1.60 to decode ACARS messages. I have my scanner to scan 131.55 and my volume is 13,0 | 0 | 0, Exit: ON, CRC: ON. I'm getting some decoded messages but mostly Parity errors. I unplugged my cable to listen to the frequency and there is alot of static - would this cause the Parity errors and inaccurate decoded messages?

Regards,
Steve

Yes, a noisey signal will cause the decoder real problems.

Which scanner are you using? Where is the aerial? What type of aerial are you using? Is the aerial cable or scanner near any electrical equipment / wiring?

Yes Noise will have a effect.
Get your antenna as high and away from any type of electrical wires or items that can enduce electrical interferences. Also look at the sound cable you are using.Make sure it is a good quality cable.
