I cannot get this to work, I have installed it all correctly, the program opens. I plug my Scanner to my PC using an audio cable from the headphone jack on my scanner to the microphone socket on my laptop. My microphone device says it is recieving sound but the program ACARSD shows no sound input and is not receiving any flight. Please help me to solve this problem, Thanks.

Just some more infotmation, I have no other good Decoders and I really one this one to work becuase of its picture feature. The volume is really sensitive full is 36999 which im guessing is volume level 36 I can get it down to 18 by turning the Microphone volume on my computer to 0. I get error displaying message. Ive been on this all afternoon. Can someone tell me step by step how to set this thing up so it works perfectly. I am getting the beeps through the frequency and they are showing on another decoder that isnt very good. Thats why i want this one to work.

I am using version 1.65

Thanks for the help.

Try this simple test - tune up a source of constant audio, like a Weather station. If you can't hear it in your speakers, go to your mic input in your soundcard settings and see if it's muted. You can usually get to that in your System Tray - at least, you can in XP.

If it's too loud and distorted, no matter what level you set, it's being overdriven. Some mic inputs need an attenuating patch cable to reduce the level. Radio Shack, Best Buy, ect. should have this.

Well, as i say on other Decoders (the Airnav trial decoder v1) It shows up flights so i dont think there is anything wrong with the scanner is hooked up to the PC. My mic isn't muted and I cant hear the sound through the speakers anyway. I didn't think you can anyway.

Do you have a "line-in" on your laptop? That is what I have used instead of the Mic jack. Are you also using the correct jacks. Mono from the scanner into a stereo plug for the laptop. My set-up usually runs with a about 10-11 showing on the volume setting.

Just a few suggestions.
