I'll break it down now, before Tim has a chance to say I'm wrong because he was listening to it.

Here is a picture of Medic 55.

Here is a picture of 7-3.

And attached is a map showing the approximate location of the accident, with Elwood on the left, Alexandria on the right, and Lapel and Chesterfield no where to be seen.

Your pictres that you have posted came from Indiana fire trucks.com Lapel fire is Station 70, Ambulance 73 is Lapel. When looking at Indiana fire turcks.com you will see the there are (2) station 50's one is Alexendria and the other is Cherstfield. Both are listed as Station 50. The unts that were posted were the ones that were dispatched to the scene on 1100 west. Pipe Creek Fire is Station 40. Lapel and Ewood is also station 70. You post is so noted. Thank You.

It was Elwood and Alexandria. The trucks are Five - Five, Five - Six, and Seven - Three. Not Fifty Five, Fifty Six, and Seventy Three. Unit 73 at Lapel is an Engine, Unit 55 at Chesterfield is a Ladder. This is coming from someone who lives in Madison County, and knows the fire service here, Tim. Chesterfield and Lapel were never dispatched.

Also from the local paper:

Richardson said warrants for drug charges will be requested once the investigation is complete. Assisting the Madison County Sheriff’s Department at the scene were Alexandria medics, rescue and fire, Elwood EMS, PHI and Life Line Medical Helicopters and Madison County EMA.

Your post is so noted. Thank you.

Your quote from the local paper did not say anything about 1100 west command telling PHI to cancel and let Lifeliine that was in the air from Muncie continue to the pad to St. Vincents Mercy hospital to meet with the medic that was enroute to the hospital..I never heard 1100 West command on the scene make a request for Madison County EMA to the scene. Did the story say anythng about going to Mercy hospital where a medical helicopter was going to transfer the patient to a Indianapolis trauma center ? I heard lifeline on 155.160 talking to Lifeline base and they were indbound with a Trauma 1 alert from Madison County to Methodist.

That's because PHI didn't cancel. Both services took patients. Lifeline never landed at the pad, they landed at an LZ zone.

The LZ Landing Zone was at Mercy Hospital. PHI never took any patients. 2 patients were involved in the accdent. One was entraped and the other patient was ejected from the car. Did the local paper say that? One patient was a critical Level 1 Trauma was airlifted to Methodist by Lifeline. The other patient was bls and was admitted at Mercy Hopsital and did not have life theating injuries. The local paper fails to include this iinfomation in the stories that are in print.

Sorry Tim, two patients by air ambulance to Indy. I promise I know much more about this situation than you do. Please, for everyone's sake, quit spouting off about things you have no knowledge about.

IFT information is mostly correct. Station 50 is, in fact, Chesterfield. Alexandria on the other hand should be lised as Station 5. This information comes to me from a friend that is a Madison County dispatcher.

bamx2, If the numbering system is wrong on Indiana trucks.com for Madison County need to complain and get this changed. As jwheatley posted Alexandra should be made station 5 to cut down on the confusion. All of my infomation on Madison County fire was got from Indiana fire trucks.com. Thank you jwheatley and goham for your post. So noted.

bamx2, The picture you posted has nothing to do with the current issue at hand which is Alexandria Fire Deprtment that serves Monroe Twp. It says this on the side of Medic 55 under The A when a zoom is done on the picture.Your posted picture is a sign that says Alexandria High Scool in Monroe Twp. This says nothing about the Alexandria Fire Department. You need to send a e-mail to Indiana FireTrucks.com and have them correct the problem. There are (2) station 50's on their web site. If Alexandria was Station 5 this would not be a problem as was stated by Jwheatly. After all he got his infomation from a dispatcher with Madsion County 911 Communications. Those are the people that dispatch 24/7/365 for all county fire departments except for The City of Anderson.
