The Radio Reference subscription cost does not include the license fee for the ARC software.

To expand on fxdscon's answer:

Subscriptions to RadioReference and radio programming software are separate issues. Buying a subscription to RadioReference allows one to access various features in addition to the ability to download files from the database into the radio with third party software.

Butel sells a popular line of "ARC" software for a variety of scanners, and one of the features is to download files from RadioReference into the radio. In order to do this you need to have a paid subscription to RadioReference and input your user name and password into the ARC software.

While Butel and RadioReference partner in this endeavor they are separate entities and the purchase of one does not extend to the purchase of the other.

If you actually did purchase the ARC500 software through Radio Reference on the same page and in addition to purchasing the renewal for the RR premium subscription, you should be able to see your software registration keys as follows:

When you are logged into the main RR site, your user name should appear in yellow text at the very top of this page you are viewing now. Click on that yellow text, and on the page that opens there are several tabs near the top. Click on the one that says License Keys (Not the "API Keys" tab)..... again, this is only valid (and that license tab will only be visible) if you actually purchased the ARC software through Radio Reference.
