Read in a previous post that Federal Heights was going to the state DTRS and then saw some TG's posted. Not hearing anything yet, anybody know when this is supposed to happen?

Also, in the same thread it seems Adams County (ADCOM) might be going to the state system as well. Same question, anybody have any thoughts as to when?

ADCOM and Federal Heights

I put part of this post in another topic (Adams Couny Sheriff?????). ADCOM has been part of the Colorado DTRS since approx. June, 2003. ADCOM began providing dispatch services for Sable Altura Fire Rescue (who covers territory in both Arapahoe and Adams Counties) effective June 1, 2004 at 0700. Several agencies NOT on the DTRS are addressing funding issues ( Adams Couny Sheriff, Federal Heights, and POSSIBLY Fort Lupton). I believe that when Federal Heights switches to the DTRS, they will continue to be dispatched by ADCOM. I do not have any "changeover" date for these agencies. Most other LE & Fire/Rescue agencies are now on the system. The Colorado DTRS is administered by the Cooperative Communications Network of Colorado. For more information, take a look at:

www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=329

This lists talkgroups by county and other users and other information for the state trunking system. Hope this helps.

Do you know what TG Sable-Altura Fire is being dispatched on or what channel if it's not on a trunking system? I never bothered to think they left Aurora when it went ProVoice.

Finally heard some traffic on the Federal Heights PD Dispatch channel tonight. A couple of people and a dispatcher were testing the sound capabilities in various ways. Seems like they may be making some progress on this.

They're using call signs such as Fox-1 and Fox-2. Not sure what that means, but...

Yea, I heard them a little bit last night as well. I think I'm going to have to reconsider how my banks are structured if we keep adding all these new cities. :D

Federal Heights-More information

Fed Heights dispatch is still being heard on the old freq of 453.575, you call still heard all conversations on the digital trunked side of it. I feel that there are still some dead spots around Fed Heights when monititoring any channel. Just information only to pass along.
