Anyone else see the AF1 lookalike doing touch and go and other maneuvers at COS today? Still performing at 15:30 hours MST.

It's not a look alike it is the original AF1, when the president is aboard, 82-8000, getting in some flight time and training hours.

It's one of two used exclusively for presidential travel, the other being 92-9000

I might have been across the 'field' from you, on the Navy side, NAF Wash DC from 1970-1974.
I was at Bolling a bit later. (82 - 83) About 18 months before I was stationed in Alaska.

I saw it flying around a few weeks ago while walking my dog here in Falcon. They like coming here to do high altitude touch and go's. I also saw a 747 take off from the Springs airport that morning going to Copenhagen. Just a tail number for a call sign

There has been LOTS of Mil-Air activity recently in the past month or so in the Springs. Lots of Mil-Air planes doing touch n go's or just flying patterns all day
