TRX-1: Inverted DCS on a non-image frequency--one radio disagrees with all the others

Had an interesting first-time experience today while seeking out some cruise ship frequencies. I have several TRX-1's, and one of them was displaying and decoding inverted DCS codes. What all the other radios received as having a DCS of 306, for example, this one radio displayed (and then decoded after squelch code was saved) a DCS of 071. This was true on at least 3 frequencies.
Has anyone else had this happen? I'm trying to figure out if I could've done something to the radio in question while programming it in the field.

It is possible it didn't make a good decode and gave a false reading if your setting was to search for the PL code.

There was some issues with polarity detection of data in some scanner model but don't remember which one. Just make sure you have the same firmware in all scanners.

I have only one TRX1 and I have not observed that, even when I or others TX using DCS, or with a repeater that uses CTCSS for TX and DCS on RX…near or far. Mine is set to search even though I know the tones.

I may, in my haste, have programmed it to search DCS instead of searching in general. I load everything with the exact same data, but this is my pocket radio and I manipulate it quite a bit.
