Hello,

Just trying to get an idea of how my scanner reception would be effected if I lived under South Mountain. Obviously I'd pick up the sites at the top of the mountain and probably the East Valley, but would i pick up anything at all in the North Valley?

I believe you should get both RWC Simulcast A and B for Phoenix PD and FD, respectively. (So, yes, you should get Phoenix PD 200 A, 400 A, 500 A, 600 A, 700 A, 800 A, and 900 A.) You should also get Simulcast C in Chandler for Chandler PD and Phoenix FD again, and at least occasionally Phoenix PD 400 A. (Maricopa PD is also on Simulcast C, but IIRC they're encrypted.) You may get Simulcast F in Tempe for Tempe PD and again, Phoenix FD.

I'm not sure what the best site(s) would be for Maricopa County, but I'm guessing the Mesa simulcast.

For AZWINS, the South Mtn and Ahwatukee sites.

Any corrections from those more familiar with that specific area are welcome of course.
