I know that as recently as last year I was still hearing regular CARE Flight traffic here in Baldwin County, with occasional Air Methods traffic on their Alabama and Florida talkgroups… but I don't think I've heard anything in months now.
Could there have been a chance in the way the channels are broadcast over AIRS? I don't think either CARE or Air Methods travel to the gulf coast regularly so maybe there's been a chance to not tie up over the air resources with out of area simulcasts or something. 99% of what I used to hear was flight calls to places like Montgomery, Birmingham, Columbus (GA) and even Atlanta from time to time. I also used to hear bits and bursts of traffic related to flight calls in Fort Walton and Panama City on the Air Methods FL simulcast talkgroup but that's gone now as well.
I do see CARE Flight radios affiliating with the Robertsdale tower in my logs so they must be somewhat in range at some point. But there's no actual traffic on their talkgroups that I've noticed.
Locally our med copter is Air Care, based in Stapleton and Foley and runs on Foley's NXDN system. They don't seem to have much traffic there, but do pop up on the regular on the local AIRS FD talkgroups. I figure it's true of other helicopter operators as well. They still have a UHF frequency in the database and I do hear the repeater key up regularly but have yet to get clear enough reception to know who or what is on it.
