Almost! As far as I know anything above 108Mhz is AM. So the 38.75 is FM and the 142.8 and 386.2 is AM. Where did ya get thoes freqs from?

The 142.800 is from an OLD Scan Colorado book. The other two were just to represent a range. After I posted, I entered some freqs. in my 94, and it automatically sets the AM or FM (dah). Thanks for the reply. I'm trying the extended range thing (225 to 400) with Win95, but can't wait til I get my 396.

That is one bad thing with some scanners like the 94, you cant pick the modulation type you want to listen to at a certain freq. In most cases this doesn’t matter because the scanner has been programmed for the most common type of modulation at that freq. One nice thing about the newer GRE radios is that it’s a simple push of the mode button to change the modulation. Although the Pro-95 and 96 are somewhat deaf in the Mil air range.
