Anyone familiar with AirNav Systems ACARS Decoder. I'm quite confused on how to get it to decode transmissions from a reciever. I fallowed the instructions given by AirNav:
To start receiving ACARS data, follow these steps:
1- Connect the audio output from your airband receiver to the input (LINE-IN) of your Sound Card using a suitable audio cable.
2- Next tune your airband receiver to the appropriate VHF frequency (click here for a frequency listing) and turn the squelch fully off.
3- Start AirNav ACARS Decoder 2.
4- Maintain the Signal Strength Display indicator (top of of AirNav main window) with levels from 40% to 70% when only noise is received.
5- ACARS data will start to be decoded when received.
I hear data on 131.55 which sounds like ACARS but the program is not decoding them.
I am using a RS Pro-96.
