I think I have figured it out. Take the 16 frequencies in frequency order 152.480 to 152.705. Use tone 162.2 for channels 201 to 216, 173.8 for 217 to 232 and 186.2 for 233 to 248.

Jay could Blue Hill be Ch 224 instead of 225? That is the only one that didn't match.

Yeah, it could be. I don't really hear channel numbers on a lot of those - just XMC26 bombin' out weather thrice daily, and she doesn't mention the channel numbers since she's going out on everything.

They use both UHF links and links on 14000.00 and 11700.00 which come up as out of band on my 996XT.

Harry

The 14000 and 11700 MHz links are Ku band satellite links, likely for their more remote sites. You'll need a dish pointed at the sky to hear those links. :)

I have been hearing activity on 411.8375 in Edmonton. I see Stony Plain is still licensed on that site. It is also the same frequency of Ch 9 of the Multi Mobile system that went dead some time ago. It sounds like it could be a link to Fireline Ch 216 as it sounds like weather reports like you hear broadcast on Fireline.

this thread is a couple of years old but ....

Hi,

I'm new to Ham radio and got a 2m radio I'm trying to program so I can listen to SRD folks in and around Calgary and also out at our camp near Caroline, AB where I work with a group called AHEIA.

Are these Freq still good and could someone message me about how they are used by SRD?

Cheers'

I assume being new to ham radio and having a 2 m transceiver you obtained your certificate so congrats. Do not transmit outside the ham bands with any 2 m ham transceiver. If you haven't looked, all the information on SDR can be found under Canadian/Alberta Databases. And you found this old thread and there are others here as well, some about Firenet have frequencies listed. From time to time there are illegal use of these frequencies [usually by out of province truckers] so be aware.
