I know this had been a thing awhile back with someone asking for information if Broadcastify was ever going to do one. I have read through that thread and came to the conclusion that it wasn't something that was going to transpire anytime soon.
With that said, for those of us that want to make our own and use the stream provided from Broadcastify, I have found the iTunes/Winamp links do work but it quits after some time. You then have to restart it to keep listening. Now the skill I am doing is in dev mode so it isn't available to the public except me. I have put the static URL in along with my credentials and have been able to listen all day without issues. Or is there anyone in here that has done their own know of something in the skill to keep the audio going on a iTunes/Winamp link? As last I knew those you could listen to for an unlimited amount of time. (correct me if I am wrong on that as I believe it was on the Broadcastify site that said so)
So now I am wondering this:
a) Is having my credentials in the skill safe or allowed?
b) Could us, the feed provider, have a link to where we could specify a different login that would not be tied directly to our account but assigned by us.
The reasons I am asking this info is I am not good with setting up and/or tricking it to be a ssl connection (which the skill requires) for Icecast/Shoutcast and nor do I want everyone that uses it to connect to my home computer that is providing the stream to Broadcastify.
Thanks in advance for any insight on this.
