For some reason, I decided to dig out the Alinco DJ-X10K and make sure it was still working properly. At first, the volume and squelch rockers didn't want to work properly, so I did a soft reset. Afterwards, the volume and squelch started working properly, but I couldn't use the 1, 2, and 3 keys. All the other keys and buttons appear to be working properly. Have any of y'all ever run across this before?

Is it possible there are some dirty contacts in that row? Try a little air blast around the keys. It's been a while since I had an x-10 but I never had those issues. Maybe another soft restore is in order.

The X-10 uses softpad on copper? contacts like the Yaesu FT-50 and when they wear out the push button pad has to be replaced. Its an easy and very cheap fix, I did it when I owned my X-10.
