I was up in Allen parish last Sunday varmint hunting and noticed very little traffic on the LWIN tower out there. It was Sunday and of course Allen has only approx. 25,000 residents so that could explain it, However I was curious and searched the FCC database for Allen and they are licensed for a small 3 frequency pair Mototrbo system. It is a trunked system. Does anyone have any info on this? I will travel back up there soon and try to see what my scanner picks up. Will this be a backup for LWIN or possibly the parish doesn't have the money for 200 P25 radios. I know their neighbor in Venon parish uses both LWIN and Nexedge.
