HTs for Air/Civil Air

I use the TH-F6A with great success to listen to Civil and Milair here in the Chicago area. The stock antenna won't cut for this sole purpose. I have a battery of HT anennas that I like to use for miulti-tasking. Perhaps the best is the diamond RH-77 SRH-77-sma version) for monitoring. You loose 220 transmitt with antenna and its is a bit long but effective.
Until recenlty, the F6A was my primary mobile as well. I used a NILJON mobile antenna and it works great with the F6A.

As far as comparing any of the other HTs you have listed against the F6A, I have not done that. I might sugesst reading the reviews on QRZ.com to see if anyone else has doen your comparions. Good luck!

Althought not on your list, I use a Yaesu VX-7R with great results. I don't check here often so PM me if you need additional.

Sorry, can't help you with the listed models, but I have a couple of other aircraft-capable HTs.

The Radio Shack HTX-420 does a good job on VHF air.

The Yeasu VX-7R works well on VHF and UHF air, except that the audio (especially UHF AM) is noticeably lower than on the various FM bands.

I have the FT-60, and it has excellent UHF mil air ears when used with a Diamond SRH77CA whip. I have no problem hearing aerial refueling on 235.1 AM from inside my house using the whip antenna. VHF performance is fine as well.
