Amateur Radio...no morse code requirement

To the Mods: I didn't know where to post this thread since there is no Amateur Radio forum (hint hint), so feel free to move to a more appropriate place if needed. Since I have many ham friends in NJ...

The FCC dropped the requirement for morse code in order to obtain general/extra class amateur licenses. More information here:

My suggestion to the mods would be to move it to the RR Tavern forum. But, until then...

The FCC website tells it all. It will not go into effect untill late Jan. early Feb. Yes the code will be dropped.
