Amelia County VFD #3 posted this today: Jetersville Volunteer Fire Department - ACVFD Company 3

Their new 700MHz system is live. I've queried the ULS and found the following frequencies. I'm not within range of this system to log data - if anyone's nearby, please check the frequencies I've listed below and let us know what you find (and submit to RRDB)...

Callsign: WSEP938 & WRZW741
770.2625
772.1875
772.8375
774.4625

The RFP for the system as discussed here reported the system will be a 4-cell site with 4 channels. It does make use of TDMA. Built by MSI.

A note, the frequencies are licensed to the Emergency Management Department, not the Sheriff's Office or Fire Department. Not sure what encryption looks like at this time.

It’s the new norm. A lot of the time encryption is either free depending on the algorithm or it’s pretty cheap to add

With Amelia being so small of a county and not much really ever goes on, I'm surprised they didn't just update their conventional system with P25 rather than build a system unless they're trying to latch on to the Hanover-Chesterfield system

With them now having their own WACN/SYS ID the odds of them jumping to a new system is unlikely. They will likely have interoperability to the new system with either their radios programmed to work on their system or a TG patched to their existing system that they have access to in their radios.

It's a stand-alone system with no plans in tie into the grossly overdue Richmond Regional system.
