AMR Ambulance for St. Vincents Indy

Last week while driving in the local area near 86Th and Township Line road I saw a new Ambulance service that had the St .Vincents hospital logo on the side of the ambulance. The ambulance service is AMR. They now have a office on west 84Th street on the NW side of Indy. Saw one antenna on the ambulance at this time. Found a new radio license for them for 155.340 IHERN. AMR used to run big time in SE Marion Co and Johnson Co they had Beech Grove covered alongside Rural Metro. They run on the ERS system. Formerly VHF Analog, but full DMR on ERS now. Unknown if they run encrypted or clear. They have dual band antenna VHF/UHF So now you have Rural Metro, IFEMS (and the associated EMS units of the county FDs), Midwest, Seals, IU LifeLine, AMR, CARE, STAT, and at least 2 other private providers. Now, once found do we call them St Vincents/AMR EMS? Officially they will be called St. Vincents EMS provided by AMR?

Yes Bob, That was in the link that I posted. Yes they are new because St. Vincent has never had a ambulance service with the St. Vincents logo on the side of the BLS, AND ALS Units.

And, if you bothered to read my post, I said "they are certainly not new to the area". I said nothing about them not being new to St. Vincent's.

According to a reliable source from the hospital, they will be adding more BLS and ALS units to the fleet

I am just Glad St Vincents isnt doing the Saint Removal like Fransican is doing.. That would be painful since they just got a butt load of ambulances and other EMS vehicles painted up with the St V logo along with that AMR one lol. And noting the changes, I am making appropriate changes to the IDPS DB to reflect the name changes to FHS....

MILF, someone said that they are using DMR for there dispatch,Can anyone post the DMR talkgroup and what system they are using so MILF can update the database for AMR.???*** After all I was the FIRST to post this in the Indiana forum and no one had any ideas that they were even around.!!!!***

Hmmmm If they are running with GFD, they have SAFE-T radios...... Which means they quite possibly have IDPS capabilities, at least for the ER encoded TGs.... Quite possibly running ERS for business and main ops, and SAFE-T/IDPS for interop and hospital comms... I would love to get a gander at the radios in the rigs up front, and in the package for the back, as well as the HTs they wear.

This gives them not only service here in Indy with St. Vincents... But they now get the R/M coverage of Beech Grove and a LOT of other areas in IN also! And yes, that's definite ERS because that was what R/M had gone too.

Haven't heard them on ERS. Only medical on ERS I have found is Lifeline Center and Care Ambulance. I have however heard ambulance comms on St V's DMR but never had a chance to see TG etc

Should be at least 1 Slot/TG combo for each of the following at each facility - Security, Maintenance, Administration, Operations, Housekeeping. Groundskeeping may be in with Mntnc....

Correct, but they have a ton of frequencies. ER, OR, and other departments all have there own frequencies. I hear the security for North all the time at home. They have a lot of officers on duty their 24/7 as I found out last week while there to pick up a friends daughter. Even nurses on the floors have telephone interconnect on DMR. The same person whose daughter we picked up works there on occasion and I have heard her on the system.
