Hello,
Take a look at the database for DE.
Each county lists analog freq's but as far as PD goes I believe you are out of luck for the most part until you get into New Castle county. 155.115 rebroadcasts a TG.

Hi;

I will be traveling from Ocean City, MD to New York. Is there anything that is not trunked that I can listen to on my PRO 95?

Thanks,

Crackerjohn

This is such a broad question that it almost can't be answered adequately; there are the various Fireboard freqs that has been documented (see the topic Monitoring Fireboard on this forum), the various fire/ems frequencies in Maryland, Maryland State Police, PG county, Howard and Cecil counties (both are moving to trunked systems very soon), Potomac/BWI approach/departures (depending on how you go)...well, you get the idea.

Look in the RR Database and grab the NJ freq's for Gloucester, Camden, Burlington counties. That'll be 1.5 hours or so of scanning.

Check a map and the DB for the northern counties like Hunterdon, Somerset etc...

If driving on the NJ Turnpike look up the NJSP trunked systems (all 3) and put in the highest 2 channels in each system in conventional mode.

Most TP cars come up on these 2 freq's. The antennas for these 2 channels (in each of the 3 systems)are optimized for turnpike coverage. It works great in conventional mode!

Hi, again,

I will be travelling the entire length of Delaware and looking for something to listen.

Thanks again,

Crackerjohn

Once again, this is an overly broad question. What are you interested in? Police, fire, road crews, business, aircraft....be a bit more specific!

I don't have a great deal on this state, but what I do have can be found here:

http://henney.com/chm/links/deldatah.htm

You know, now that we have an accurate fireboards page for Delaware, it got me to wondering; what about the various local pd or sheriff depts? Surely not all of them migrated to the 800 system, did they?

Hi Mike,
Here in New Castle County everyone except a few highway maint trucks (156.165R...old DSP dispatch freq)are on the 800 system.
Not a peep out of the old freq's. The VHF antennas are missing from the local PD cars too from my observations.

Once in a great while I hear DSP NARCS make a refrence to Hi-Band but never have caught any traffic. Mabey some old VHF HT's are still in circulation.

Regarding the references to "High Band" on air....that's DSP slang for the main dispatch or "Command" Talk Group. They do not have VHF-Hi capability in the cars anymore.

Yeah, that's what I was expecting. However, I'm thinking more about the smaller towns like in Kent and Sussex counties; I doubt that they moved over to the 800 system, and I'd be willing to bet that those local pds may have moved around a bit once the transition took place and all that old VHF gear most likely went on the market. It had to go somewhere, unless the state sold it off (probably for a huge markdown, hi). 73s Mike

Hello Mike,

Most LEO's in Kent and Sussex Counties have switched to the State ASTRO System. Dover, Milford, and Smryna dispatch their own, while KentCom and SusCom dispatch the other local PD's.

The local PD's have their own TG's, but they are used mostly for Chit-Chat. I am not aware of any VHF/UHF conventional frequencies still used by LEO's in Delaware. This is one of those cases where everyone is on aboard the State System.

Hello,

U of Delaware Police have 3 TG's on the State System. I am unaware of any U of DE EMS TG's.

Just wonder if they are still using the UHF channels?

I know the ambulance is now part of the County Fire/EMS system, but wonder if they still do campus dispatch on the UDPD frequencies.

Hello,

U of DE Campus Dispatch is on the State system. They dispatch their own. I will check the UHF frequencies and see if they are still active.

464.5000 Lewes
151.8050
151.9250
152.9250 Pager System

Maintenance and Trasportation were on VHF, but I never committed that frequency to memory.
We had UHF (UDPD) in the ambulance, and VHF in the university and city busses.

The crap that gets stuck between the ears, maybe I need some "mental floss"

Hmmm, wonder who is in the room in Pencater with the phone number
302-PET-****.
