If I wanted to prog this system do I put in the Primary and Alternate control freq only or do I cut and paste the whole thing.

Channel 2 is RED primary Channel 4 is BLUE Alternate.

What do I do with the other Freq's are they needed ? They are not colored red or blue.

The scanners were designed so that only the control channel is needed to work. So programming only the primary and alternate control channels is needed.

With that said, unless I'm approaching the memory limit, if it's a system that's important for me to monitor, I'll program all the listed channels. I do this because of the very remote chance things change and the database isn't updated. It only takes a few minutes to add them.

Then another finishing touch I'll do is to program the system as a conventional system using all of the listed frequencies and lock it out. Trunked systems will have a failsoft configuration that can occur if the trunk system controller and backups fail. If this happens, the trunk system falls back into a conventional repeater system, and I unlock that conventional system and continue to monitor things.

The chances of this approach snow in Florida, but better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
