Does Ancom have any other tower locations besides Arden Hills? And if so, are the control channel frequencies the same as the ones listed in the database for Arden Hills?
The reason I ask is because many years ago (mid 90's) I worked for a company that used a repeated two-way radio system in our company trucks. The two tower locations were Arden Hills, and Burnsville. I am almost certain that it was an Ancom system. (I remember an Ancom service truck at our shop installing a new radio in one of our trucks) However, I see no mention of a Burnsville tower location anywhere on this site. Which is odd to me because Ancom's office is located in Burnsville and I know they service companies on the south end of town. If I was a business owner located in the south metro looking for 2-way radio service, I wouldn't be too sure about using a company who's nearest tower was on the other end of town.
I'm basically looking for more info on the Ancom radio system in general and where it's towers (if more than one) are physically located.
And one last question....
I know there is a thread on here that specifically talks about Towing companies but I have two companies in mind that have never been mentioned in that thread. Both are fairly large companies, both are located in the south metro, and both use a 2-way radio system. My question is..... Is there another company, besides Ancom, that provides repeated 2-way radio service? If the two companies I have in mind are NOT using Ancom, what other system could they be using?
The companies I have in mind are Dick's and Chief's.
Thanks in advance.
