While mapping some of the Larimer County DTRS sites, I've come across a site that is in the FCC database, but not in the RR database. The odd thing about it is that it uses some of the same freqs that are used on Bald North (3-061) and Loveland (3-063), which leads me to believe it's either a simulcast site or a backup site. Maybe someone closer to the site could log it. The freqs are:

852.8500
852.2750
851.8750
851.7000
851.3875

The address is 5300 Frontage Road along I-25.

From the address I'm thinking its the temporary site they sometimes use for the fair at the ranch and such . similar to what they do down in Denver for the Cow show

Trying to monitor those freqs would be interesting since the 852.27500 is the Drake primary CC. With that kind of overlap, it's hard to imagine it's anything more than a potential backup system.

That might be outdated info for Drake (assuming the FCC is more current than RR). There is only one freq in the FCC ULS listing for Drake and that is 851.725. When I plot Drake using a 100 watts, it is probably a few hundred yards at best (about 10 pixels on the map); no overlap.

The "Frontage Road" site was licensed by the NCCA around 2000 as part of their trunked radio system prior to the eventual merge into the current DTRS system. Those frequencies ended up being used on other sites as mentioned in this thread.

To my knowledge the Frontage Road site never went live as, at the time, there was a DTRS site in Windsor that covered that area when they merged with DTRS.

Eventually the Windsor site was taken down and the Windsor site frequencies were reassigned to Greeley 35th and O Street sites.
