PRO96 will not continually scan Richmond system due to an analog tail at the end of every transmission on repeater 853.1250. The radio wont return to control channel, preventing continual scanning. Dont they ever check their system? Been over a month now, this problem!

Remember, the original radios deployed on this system were XTS3000s. Not even Astro25 series. It's quite an old system and will be revamped soon. Also, if the scanner is not meant to monitor simulcast, that could be contributing to the issue you're experiencing with the control channel. The only scanners capable of properly monitoring simulcast are the SDS series by Uniden.

A friend has one of those [ thousand dollar seeds radios and it does the same thing to him. I mean how many times can you hit the scan butten before it breaks! The only thing I can do is to lock out that part of the system, one third of it, you lose a lot of info that way, hit the scan butten or turn the radio off! Im sure they love THAT solution....!

Again, it’s because of simulcast distortion. You must have a radio capable of handling simulcast in order to decode the R/H/C system.
