A Greeley man died shortly after 9 p.m. Friday after he rolled his truck at Weld County roads 53 and 392 a few miles east of Lucerne.

Contents from the man’s red 1999 F350 Ford truck were scattered throughout a field nearby and several people watched as paramedics on scene tried to resuscitate the man for roughly 20 minutes; he was later taken by helicopter to North Colorado Medical Center but he died in-flight.

Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor.

The driver has been identified as Bryce L. White, 46, of Greeley. Colorado State Patrol troopers said he was driving alone west on Weld 392 when he apparently lost control of his truck. It rolled once before hitting a brick shed. White was thrown 50 feet from his truck; he was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The crash was about a mile away from the site of a crash Wednesday where a semitrailer and a dump truck collided. One man, who also was not wearing his seat belt, died.

He is the 10th person to die on Weld roads compared to eight at this same time last year.
