Antelope Island, Moon Light & Buffalo Bike Ride injury

A participant in the annual night time bike ride at Antelope Island crashed her bicycle. She was having seizures. When she crashed and fell, her helmet was broken. She has possible head and neck injuries Medical units and a Life Flight are in route at this time.

I was out there on that ride, with my scanner, and caught that. It was out at the turn around point, buffalo corrals. Had just left there when the chatter started about it.

If you don’t mind hitting a billion brine flies as you are riding it is not a bad little ride.

I heard a couple of the State Parks Rangers talking today about this incident. The victim ended up with a concussion, a broken clavicle (collar bone) and other minor injuries. They said the person was expected to make a full recovery.
