Antenex Phantom

OK but why would anyone want to spend $50 bucks on a phantom antenna that can barely talk across a city when you can spend $10 bucks and get a 19" whip that works in some instances better than 5/8 wave antenna.

Sorry but some of our police cruisers have them and they are horrible.

I obtained my phantom ham band antenna from eBay for 19.95 + shipping and I am very happy with it.
You have to tune it for the band you want with the plastic key that comes with it. I use it on 145.31Mhz and it is a bit more distance with it than the 5/8 wave on the trunk. Tx and Rx. I will not use a whip again. I also use a 800 one for my scanner and it is a kick a** receive here in the hill around my area. Pappy1
