Just now i unplugged the outdoor antenna, plugged in the factory one and the KSP started screaming at me. BUT know i cant pick up local...haha. You guys probly think im kidding but im not.
Nope - that is possible.... You may have an antenna that is not picking up the band that KSP is operating on. This can be a bad antenna (been there had those) poor coaxial run (yep - had those too).
If you can hear on the low level setup, try testing the new antenna with a shorter coax run inside of just outside. This should be of at least as good reception as was on the original indoor setup. If you can test the end of the new cable run with the old indoor antenna plugged in there and see what results you have. Depending upon the results you should have clues on where to go next and improve the signal.
If KSP is full scale on the indoor and not hear at all on the outdoor then the issue is what is causing the full loss of signal. This happening in what you are describing is not normal and would be caused by something attenuating the signal to zero or a trap that is preventing the signal from coming into the 106.
RG-58 coax alone would not cause this loss that you describe, particularly on such a short run. The gain form the higher antenna normally overcomes such losses.
Good luck....
