I would start by finding out if your area (development, county, city) has any tower height restrictions of any kind. I would suggest starting with whatever the equivalent is to a Land Surveyor office or similar. Are there any restrictions in your deed to the property? Being complete now with your investigation will save you headaches later.

I would also investigate a professional who knows how to erect towers - talk to a few hams and see what they say (there is a club in Sussex County ). Be concerned with not just the physical erection of the tower, but proper electrical grounding. You may need a good electrician for something like this, but again, a ham who has gone all of this before will be your best guide. Don't forget about building permits, any required inspections and certifications, if needed.

Start doing some homework and a little networking....73 Mike
