Antenna help.

Hey guys,
Just snagged a GE 7-2880B Super Radio on eBay. I'm aware that the existing antenna has the tip broken off the end of it. Wanted to know where I could get a replacement antenna (doesn't have to be an exact clone),but just to replace the old one. Also,are there any tricks to replace the old antenna (it's a swivel and
collapsible).
Any info is always appreciated!!

you can wrap a 12 or 14 gauge household wire around the stub & then you will get a lot of hits with
the long wire also an ant.. tuner will help

I've seen a guy use a bolt or screw as a replacement tip for a whip antenna -- he just screwed it into the end of the whip antenna.

As for replacement whip antennas, I'd try Radio Shack, I think they carry them.

Congrats on getting the Superadio 1. They're great radios.

How about one of THESE from Radio Shack... back in the day they used to have a wide variety but it might still make a decent replacement for you
