How far off can an antenna be from a site, Spartanburg County Simulcast site 1 is at 284.31 degrees 19 miles from me site 2 is at 296 degrees 25 miles from me my antenna has a 30 degree beamwidth I have it pointed at 272 degrees but with the beamwidth it reaches to 287 degrees I was thinking of turning it to 266 degrees should I still get site 1 to cut out site 2 or should I turn it to 269.31 degrees

Depending on the frequency the beam width is not that precise. And there are individual nodes of varying amplitudes. These amplitudes are not "fixed" and can vary from inches to miles. The best method is to plot signal strengths through 90 to 180 degrees of antenna rotation and elevation. This will give you a better picture of the antenna radiation pattern.

Those two towers are very close together from your location. Maybe too close to have any luck pulling in just one. What type of antenna are you using that has such a tight pattern? Another thing to try would be to see if there is a CC on the closer tower and keep turning the antenna to the left until the signal starts to drop. Because the second tower if farther away you might be able to attenuate it enough to help some.

That's one heck of a yagi! Try peaking it on the closer tower then move it to the left until the signal just starts to drop. This would put you on the right edge of the lobe and might be enough to help null out the farther tower to the right.
