Could someone suggest a good splitter for my magnet mount antenna. I want to run it to my bcd996t and my bc95xlt. I would like it to be cheap and able to purchase it at radioshack. any suggestion?

Except that thread (unlike some of the others) does not discuss the fact that for many applications you do not need the amplifier in the splitter.
Nor does it address that for some applications the amplifier actually reduces performance because it has a noise figure higher than the front end of the scanner.
Nor does it address that there is nothing spacial about setting your amplifier gain to equal your splitter losses.

Taps are always preferable to splitters to avoid the "stub effect" and interaction between receivers
but I'm not sure Rad Shack carries em.

Hu?

Taps are nothing but two way splitters with a very offset split ratio.
