"Portable" as in:
  1. On the radio
  2. Off the radio and connected with a cable
If I understand your post correctly, your Btech radio receives the site, but the Uniden does not.

I believe both radios use the same type of mount, an SMA female. I'd first try switching antennas between radios and see if that improves reception on the Uniden.

I'd also try programming the Uniden with your DMR repeater frequency as a simple analog FM channel, no pl. Monitor the channel with both radios; the Btech, which you say receives normally, will decode the DMR, but the Uniden will only give you a staccato (machine gun-like) noise when it receives a DMR signal. If both radios are receiving the signal, then the issue is with your SDS 150 programming.

Pretty sure the antenna input on the Baofeng is SMA-M versus the SDS150's SMA-F input. The antennas aren't swappable without an adapter

This is correct, and the barrel adapters needed, I would only use sitting on a desk. Too weak for general use.

The Remtronix 920S is a great antenna for UHF and 7/800. It stays on my SDS100 almost all the time. There's lots of UHF DMR around Dallas, and the 920S pulls them all in just fine. I collect a lot of antennas for HTs and scanners, and the 920 is one of my favorites. It looks like it belongs on the SDS as well.

I'm using a Diamond RH77CA on my SDS150 that I was previously using on my BCD436HP. Do you think the Remtronix 920S is a better option?

I prefer it for UHF over the diamond and some clones. It seems more sensitive and there's no loss from an adapter. It also has an o-ring to keep it waterproof. If you don't need VHF coverage, it's a clear winner.
