You only scan 806 to 900 MHz? For both the portable antenna for the SDS100 and the mobile antenna as a mag-mount(?) arrangement, how tall of an antenna is acceptable to you? The taller antenna usually means more gain and hopefully better reception. Or do you want a quarter-wave antenna for both, which will be fairly short? Let us know so we can narrow down the candidate antennas.

If all you want is 800 & 900 MHz, this antenna:

This mount:

Stick it on a metal pan, piece of sheet metal, etc. at least 12" in diameter to act as the ground plane when using it in your home.

You can put that on the roof of your car if you want to go mobile.

If you want VHF, UHF, 700, 800 and 900MHz, get this antenna:

800/900 antenna - Using this at home is best. I would not trust that magnet mount while mobile with such a large antenna. As previously noted, put some metal beneath it for a ground plane and improve RX.

UPDATE:
I just re-read the OP and see the “portable“ request. Perhaps this Remtronix would be suitable.
