is there any free scanner programming software for the pro 106 i have tried all the trials and expired and only one that i liked was the win500 did not like the one that radio shack had with the scanner programming cable to hard to understand

ID Tracker is free but doesn't download/upload to/from scanner. Only operates scanner remotely.

Win500 is excellent and not very expensive.

i need software that can download/upload just right now i can't afford to buy the software because i am not sure what is going on with my income kind of why i am looking for free software programs

FREE PRO-106 software

The Pro-106 is very similar to the PSR-500 and uses the same radio control software and scanner cables.

Pro96Com is a free software package that will decode a P25 Control channel data stream from the following scanner models:

* Radio Shack Pro-96
* Radio Shack Pro-2096
* GRE PSR-500
* GRE PSR-600
* Radio Shack Pro-106
* Radio Shack Pro-197
* Uniden BCD396XT (Yet to be released)

Also the quickest way is to just buy a 1/8 inch stereo plug male to 1/8 inch stereo plug male and
clone from one to another. There are probably quite a few folks in your town with the same scanner.
Just plug from one to the other and "clone"
