While listening to SW, I picked up on 11.179 Mhz SSB someone giving this off ( AXXQUJ ) repeated 3 times. Then this ( AXXQUI5GJHUMHL4TH3OETIZXLF4JNELWRVP) this was repeated 2 times. Then at the end of the transmission, the guy says (Andrews out). Any idea?

Coded military air traffic originating from Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. Google is your friend. Andrews is a mainstay on HF. HTH.

Would that be coming from the E-3? I've noticed other saying that they've been picking up traffic from them.

What you copied is a Skyking or EAM message. You're not supposed to be able to understand it - if you do, don't say anything here <chuckle>

Here's a rather old article off the MT website that does a good job of explaining it...

Thanks :) I just discovered this and am pretty giddy about it. I'm trying to keep up with who's who and who the callsign belongs to. If anyone can help me, two that I'm stuck on are (Playpen) and (turbo 86).

If it ended in "Andrews ... out" then it would not be from an E-3. If it ended in a one or two word tactical callsign then it might, repeat might, be from an E-3, E-4, or E-6. It also might be from almost any other node of the system, including C-130's, ships at sea, etc. It might even be from Andrews AFB or Offutt AFB, but using a different callsign.
