Many years ago I installed marine electronics, radar, loran fishfinders and such. Many of these used similar type cable assemblies.

That is for the GCAI connection from the control head to the transceiver on first gen MotoTRBO mobiles (XPR4000) in remote mount configuration.
In those radios you needed to run both a traditional control head cable AND that cable if you wanted to plug the mic into the control head on a remote mount mobile. It goes between the CHIB and the TIB.
