can you tell me why i cant receive newport pd. i programmed all the freqs. for campbell county using win97 and the rr database. i get everything but newport and i live in alexandria so i know im close enough. i think newport is the only channel where i had to manually add the ct code also. rr database has newport as 453.050 dc code 192.8. i notice on the database that most channels have a frequency and an input and they arent always the same. thanks for any info.
If you have 453.050 w/ pl 192.8, then you should be good to go... your plenty close to hear anything in Campbell County as all channels are repeated county wide.
There's always an input for any of the police/uhf channels as they run through a repeater, the only fire/vhf channel that is repeated is the main channel, 1.
