Yup I am having the same issue! Hopefully it’s just a temporary issue while switching to P25. I would be sad if there is no voice on 154.160 in the future.

That's weird. I was listening to 154.1600 and 153.9500 in FM and both were working from my HT in Montgomery County.

I thought I heard an audio key up on 155.9950 (MCFR 7V1 Ops) which is now listed as the replacement for 153.95..

Yeah it’s back up now but I was unable to hear anything for about 24 hours which is weird. I was able to hear it on P16. It’s weird that some people were having issues and others were not. But it’s back up now! Lol

EDIT: and around 3AM I was having difficulty hearing 7A on P16 idk what was going on possibly an issue on my end.

This is from the MCFRS System "One Book" v1.4 May 2020

The VHF Backup Zone is only used on APX 7000 Unit officer portables.

Don't have any further info on current changes.
Hope that helps..

J

They are finally switching to P25? I was wondering when they were going to do that.
The goal was to complete the process by January 20th; not sure if the security escalation in DC will effect that schedule since the county supports the region in various ways during critical events.

We are aware entries have been updated on the RRDB, but it is unclear if some of the data is accurate / missing.

I moved from the county, in Nov.'19. 154.16 is correct. But, 150.995, doesn't seem correct. Besides 154.16, I always had 153.95.
153.950 is currently the 7B Ops tg simulcast frequency as of yesterday. The question is will it change to 150.995 when the migration to the P25 system occurs, and personnel start using the new zone structure in their subscribers (7V is one of the new zones.) The current RRDB entry is premature (thus inaccurate) as it reflects data that is not currently in use, and is missing 153.950 that is still in use. Since the migration is imminent, it is probably best at this point to wait and see if 150.995 actually replaces 153.950 before updating the RRDB again - people are already confused.

As far as the correct 7V channel/frequency lineup goes, I spoke with the DB guy who updated it. The new line up came from Dallas Lipp who is an official with MCDFRS. He submitted the new line up and it got changed. We're in agreement that since the what's currently is in the DB is NOT what's currently on air, he'll be happy to change it back. Now, does anyone have the current line up that used to be on there. There's no UNDO or rollback feature on these DB changes.

Need all the VHF frequencies that were there and their PL codes. I believe 154.16 (156.7) and 153.95 (156.7) I have, if I'm correct. There were a handful more though with their channel designations.

Perhaps the old channel 7B can be added back without deleting 7V1, then remove 7B when it is no longer used? OTOH, it's only going to be used for the next few weeks or so. I have no doubt about DL's submission - he would know, lol.

Yes, both 7A and 7B had 156.7 PL.

The remainder Fire/EMS VHF tgs are as follows, also at the same 156.7 PL I believe -- I can only confirm the frequencies are accurate. If anyone has better notes on the PL tone, please feel free to add in and correct.

- 7C Backup TRS @ 155.520
- 7D Backup TRS @ 155.100
- 7E Backup TRS @ 155.340
- 7F Backup TRS @ 154.355
- 7G Backup TRS @ 155.985
- 7H Backup TRS @ 155.280
- 7I Backup TRS @ 155.805
- 7J Backup TRS @ 150.995

The 7V? VHF database submissions are correct for the new system. I did not ask or recommend that the current frequencies be deleted, that was a decision made by the database administrators. Anyone who wants to monitor our VHF channels once cutover occurs will want to have the 7V? channels programmed, primarily 7V1 OPS and 7V2 DISP.

A variety of factors are impacting the cutover timing, but it is weeks away not months; once it set I will post.
