I have a Motorola 42-50mhz split CDM1250 that I would like to put on 6m. I have the appropriate software for the radio and all the equipment, but of course the CPS wont let me go above 50mhz without making it an invalid field.

Does anyone have any information about making my CDM do 6m?

I would really appreciate the help

Thanks

Hey,

Unfortunately the Waris series radios store their bandsplit info in the firmware. What does this mean? Even if you modified the CPS to allow the programming of 6m freqs, the radio would reject the codeplug when you tried to write it.

Sorry!

NOT TRUE, the bandsplit is stored in the codeplug. So if your capable of editing the codeplug OR CPS, then you can have any Waris radio go Out-Of-Band to any frequency (as long as the radio will lock).

Edit your codeplug or even better yet, modify the CPS to allow OOB freqs.
