well crap, I was hoping that no one would re-start this
I made it to the final step of the process - the second interview
(this was after orietation, psych test, comp test, panel interview, and a sit-a-long)
The orientation had about 100 ppl in it, and the final interview (that I made it to) had 17

All that being said, I didnt make it :(
But I felt good that I made it that far, and it gave me a great deal of experience in how the process works, and what they are looking for

hopefully next time
:)

Keep re-applying. Not to discourage you, but we've hired folks that had been re-applying for years and finally got hired.

The turnover is freaking incredible, BOEC hires roughly 20-30 each year (usually 3 groups of 10 throughout the year) and the success rate of completing the training process is somewhere around 30%. Yes, about 3 out of 10 make it. I'm not aware of any local dispatch center keeping a list of candidates for future consideration. You start the process again and the slate is wiped clean from your last attempt.
