I recently completed my DMR hotspot project for use with portable operation in my truck. Now I can use both the antenna and the hotspot. When I started down this path I felt like I had to define which of my radios was going to be for home use and which one would be travel. For better of for worse I decided that my 878 would be for home use and 868 for travel. Now I am re-thinking that decision, mostly based on the 878 APRS and Roaming functionality. Of course, after doing some work of creating a travel codeplug for the 868.
I guess I have a few questions.
1) Is it worth the effort to try and make both the 868 and 878 the same? I am happy with my 868 codeplug, I could always "clone" it 868 codeplug ---->878 codeplug
2) I need to update the contact list in any codeplug I build so I would have to import in the CSV, correct?
