I HAVE A AR8200, I RECENTLY GOT THE COMPUTER LEAD TO PROGRAM THE RADIO, AND NOW THE RADIO WILL FREEZE UP WHEN EVER I TRY TO DO THE SEL-SCAN FEATURE. YES I HAVE THE RADIO PROGRAMED CORRECTLY, IT WORKED BEFORE AND LOVE THAT FEATURE. I CALLED AOR AND THEY WERE USELESS, I COULDNT EVEN UNDERSTAND THE GUY I WAS TALKING TO AND WHAT I DID UNDERSTAND HE TOLD ME THAT I JUST HAVE IT SET UP WRONG. I HAVE USED THIS FEATURE BEFORE I GOT THE COMPUTER LEAD, NOW IT WONT WORK. HE (THE GUY AT AOR) SAID THAT IT NEEDS A HARD RESET, IF THE SOFT DOESNT WORK. WELL IT (SOFT RESET) DIDNT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO A HARD RESET ON THE AR8200. I HAVE SEARCHED THE INTERNET FOR SOME CLUE WITH NO AVAIL. PLEASE HELP!!

is the radio a usa version? if so, some of the ar8200 usa models had to go back to california to be reset.
also, is the model a 8200, 8200mk2 or a 8200mk3. there is a difference.

i will try to get an answer from taka at aor in ca if you can get me a model# and serial #

I have an 8200 european version (receives Cell). And I've had the same problem. I also have been unable to fix it. I sent the unit to AOR in California, and they would not work on it because it is cell capable.

I've never heard of any manufacturer doing such a thing. You could send it to AORUK I suppose.
