Anyone in the Altus area? As I was in that area today, I found a new freq and am unable to come up with the user. It could possibly be the AFB, but it's not really in the right range that I would think of. It is some sort of security/PD personel talking to a dispatcher (repeated), but I couldn't figure it out. Maybe you can...

Try 150.4125. I close-called it on the East side of Altus while on US-62. (near the entrance to the AFB). P25 clear (didn't hear any encryption).

I'm 52 miles north of there. I'll put it in my 996 when I get home today and let you know what I hear.

Why would you think that? 150.4125 is in the government-only band that is heavily used by the military.

But most military bases are using the 390-408 range trunk systems for their comm's or will more than likely be shifting over to them. So that may be where that the thought of the right range he would think of comment came in from. Just my thought

I'm just used to the gov freqs in the 137-144, 148-150, 160's range - 170's range, 240-420 stuff. I guess I've never really heard anything in the 150.4125 area that was really anything interesting, and since there aren't any licenses for it, it would make sense that it's government.

Not hearing a thing up here in Elk City. I can hear other AFB base activities ok, I think maybe King mountain is in the way for this one.
