April 30 Fairfax County Mass Casualty Drill

Just thought that I'd let you all know of a mass casualty drill in Fairfax County on April 30th.

The scenario is a train derailment, with numerous patients. All units from Fairfax Fire batallion 5 will be dispatched, in addition to Fairfax's 2 helicopters, and Eagle 1 - and all will be available to medevac "patients". This is the first drill where patients will actually be transported to local hospitals via ambulance and helicopter, to totally test the county's ability to handle a major event.

I'm not sure what channels that this will be on, but I'm guessing Fairfax's Major Incident channels.

The event is on. The scenario is a WMD/IED attack on a VRE train. Operations are on 4G, 4H and 4K. Back up communications (telephone) were discussed on the Aircare 9A channel. Police ops on Franconia Ops 2 (17008)

For the second time ever I heard the MEDCOM channel used. 18048 Last year I submitted that along with the three Motor Ops channels to the database. But I think the DB admin thinks he knows more than me and didn't add them.
