Is there an aprs guide or book for dummies? or something that have a simple explanation but then can show more advanced usage? So I want to learn how objects work etc.

I have 3 APRS-enabled HTs; two AnyTone D878s and a Yaesu FT-1XDR. Can I set different -7 SSIDs (example, <my call>-71, -72 and -73) on each one do differentiate between them on the aprs network?

Pretty sure you can only use 1-15. On my three I use -2, -7 and -15.

OK,additional question:
If I'm beaconing digital (DMR and/or YSF), will it still show my correct position on the website as it would with analog aprs?

If by "the website" you mean APRS.fi, understand that sites like APRS.fi monitor traffic from APRS-IS which is a system of linked computers that aggregate data from APRS I-gates.

When D-STAR radios started sending position data, aka DPRS, someone figured out how to monitor the D-STAR networks for this position data and inject it into the APRS-IS.

In addition, some systems, like Winlink and the Cooperative Weather Observer Program (CWOP), can inject data into the APRS-IS.

The problem with any of these approaches to getting data into the APRS-IS is that only people (apps) who are looking at APRS-IS can see these injected position reports. People who are using APRS solely over RF don't see these reports.

Now, to answer your question, unless someone is monitoring DMR or YSF for position reports and injecting them into the APRS-IS, then nobody in the APRS world will see those position reports. To me, this is a huge failing of position reports over DMR and YSF.

Yes, if setup appropriately on Brandmeister, I have not tried DMR-MARC or TGIF systems. You cannot set a designator though, its just your call sign. You need to follow the guide on Brandmeister's wiki to get it setup correctly.
