APRS path question

Can anyone explain to me the details of what “TRACC via TCPIP*” means in an APRS path?

I think thats a Tracksoar tracker (TRACC) and the TCPIP is the Igate that is hearing the data....

That is mostly correct. TRACC is a Tracksoar device; TCPIP is a/the protocol and not a particular Igate.

Yeah they use those trackers mostly on Balloons ,Rockets and Drones they are very small and dont use a lot of power......
