I have APX R21 loaded on laptop running Windows 7, will Version 27.00 run in windows 7? Need to up grade scared of 28-29.

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Seems like it takes forever to load.
I run 29 on both W10 and W7 with no issues.
Small problem on the lap top. Software loaded up fine, Main start up window comes on fine but the main programming page does not come up and it goes back to the deck top icon? Ideas, Same software I loaded on the desk top pops up fine and into the main page for programming.
Remove and Reload. Sounds like it did not load correctly. Valid download from myview ?
Wonder if I should reinstall the program, I'll try that be back in a week, just kidding.
Still no working after reloading the program.
The computer is a CF-29 it came from a radio shop loaded with all makes for Tait, Kenwood and down the line, and has been solid machine so far. The windows 7 ultimate, memory has plenty of room for V27 or it would not load. It has 35.7 GB free after the drive it was put on. It is a dual booting computer for older versions of Astro ect. Windows XP solid as a rock. What should the CPU speed be I can adjust it. Thanks for your help.
It is a fresh copy of the CPS, I loaded it up on my deck top just fine, I click the icon it starts up and main screen comes on in less than 10 sec. The laptop is being fussy, I have other APX CPS versions 22 too it it pops up just fine. I even tried to install it a few times. same thing. The big APX first screen comes up but the main paged does not and just goes back to the deck top. What is your CPU speed, I figured the other cps runs fine, the 27 should too.
