AR-8000 keyboard problem

I have a old AR 8000 that is having problems with the keyboard. Can this unit be repaired? Anyone know if parts are still available? Is a service manual available? It is a nice radio and likely repairable but I would like more information before I try to fix it.

You will probably need to get a membrane pad repair kit. Picked up extra keytops when they were clearing them out back in 1998-1999.

You may want to pull the keybd out and clean it first with Q-tips. Fixed many keybd problems that way myself.

I just used this on a aor ar8000 and it fixed the keyboard problem

The AR8000 and the AR-8200, Mk1, Mk2 Mk3 are very different in layout and design and most parts are not compatible.
